Barry Toepke, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca - President
Barry Toepke, vice president of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, is responsible for the facility’s communications programs and heritage racing events, most notably the annual Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, and most recently Porsche Rennsport Reunion. He has more than 30 years’ experience in event management, and has worked with such companies as Dow Automotive, LA Auto Show, Automobili Lamborghini, Bonhams, Toyota Motor Sales, Starlight Foundation and the American Cancer Society. He is a five-term member of the marketing committee of the Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau and is on the board of directors of The Bridge Restoration Ministry based in Pacific Grove.
Jen Anello, The Preserve Golf Club & The Ranch Club - Past President
Now in her second decade at the prestigious Santa Lucia Preserve, Jen Anello is one of the most recognized members of the management team, whose energy, service and organizational acumen have had a positive impact on the club lifestyle throughout the private mountain community secluded high above Carmel Valley.
Unofficially, Jen is The Preserve’s “Ambassador of Fun.”
In her current role as Director of Membership, Jen oversees the development and implementation of the Santa Lucia Preserve business plan, programming and member experiences. She works in collaboration with the communications team, sales and marketing, as well as real estate to ensure and enhance the unique Preserve lifestyle.
Jen has worn several hats at The Preserve since her first position as Concierge in the fall of 2003. She later was promoted to Events & Hospitality Manager for The Ranch Club, a position created for her skill set. For seven years she managed all aspects of hospitality offerings, which included lodging, dining, recreational activities and special events.
Jen is a member of the Private Club Marketing Association and Club Managers Association of America, as well as serving on numerous committees at the Santa Lucia Preserve.
Randi Andrews, Avant Garden & Home - Co-Shop Local Director & Co-Events Director/Jeffrey Andrews, Avant Garden & Home - Co- Membership & Community Development Director
Randi and Jeffrey Andrews opened Avant Garden and Home in Carmel Valley Village in 2003. For several years we moved the shop into Carmel by-the-sea, only to return in 2014 to our old location. "Got a do-over" how many times does that happen?? While in Carmel Valley, both Randi and Jeffrey were active members on the CVCC Board. Randi is a past president. Jeffrey and Hudson (the famous canine) wear several hats... when not in Avant Garden, he can be found in his other business, Driving Sounds or at Cima Collina tasting Room.
Nathan Millan – Joullian Vineyards & Winery
Nathan is the Hospitality Manager at Joullian Vineyards & Winery and has been since moving to Carmel Valley Village with his wife and two dogs in August 2017 from Seattle, Washington. While being a part of the wine and beer industry for ten years, he has found a home in the Carmel Valley wine country and is eager to be an active member of the local community, both as a resident and business manager. He hopes that his industry knowledge and Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and Marketing will help him to bring a heightened awareness to Carmel Valley and everything it has to offer, for locals and tourists alike.
Danielle Price, Hawthorne Ventures
Danielle is from Pennsylvania & her grandparents moved to Monterey in the 70’s so the peninsula always felt like a second home! Danielle moved here after graduating from college & began her career in advertising at KMBY radio. She then moved back to PA & opened a retail store with her husband. Danielle missed sales so she went back to advertising & was a Senior Account Executive at Comcast Cable for 15 years.
For the past 7 years she has owned her own ad agency, Hawthorne Ventures. They sold their store & farm last year & moved back to this magical area!
Jennifer Roux, ROUX & CV Chophouse - Co-Marketing Director
Jennifer Roux is the owner of ROUX and Carmel Valley Chophouse Restaurants in Carmel Valley with her husband Chef Fabrice Roux as her partner. She has 20 years of experience in education administration and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology as well as a Master’s of Science in Educational Leadership. Jennifer is passionate about hospitality and sharing how rich life can be lived through food and wine.Jennifer Roux is the owner of ROUX Restaurant in Carmel Valley with her husband Chef Fabrice Roux as her partner. She has 20 years of experience in education administration and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology as well as a Master’s of Science in Educational Leadership. Jennifer is passionate about hospitality and sharing how rich life can be lived through food and wine.
Jaclyn Salmeron-Soto, Fremont Bank - Finance Director
As a motivated Branch Manager, Jaclyn Salmeron-Soto has been with Fremont Bank since 2014 and carries over 10 years of Retail Banking experience. Jaclyn is adept in Business Development and Operational Integrity. Living on the Central Coast for over 25 years assists in developing and maintaining meaningful client relationships. In addition to her professional experience and effervescent personality Jaclyn has a sincere passion for doing what’s right for her clients and educating them on how their money can best benefit them.
Lindsay Taubert, ACE Hardware - Co-Marketing Director
Lindsay Taubert manages the Carmel and Carmel Valley Ace Hardware stores, extensions of the well-known Santa Cruz County based Scarborough Lumber. Lindsay was born and raised in the Santa Cruz Mountains and relocated to Monterey County in 2012 to help establish the Carmel branch of the family business. Granddaughter of Scarborough Lumber's founder, Lindsay is proud to represent this third-generation, family-owned business in Monterey County. She has a degree in retail management and brings over ten years of customer service and sales experience to what she describes as the most rewarding job she's ever had. Lindsay has found her family's historic emphasis on local community involvement and customer relationships to be a perfect fit within Carmel and Carmel Valley and considers it a privilege to serve these communities.
Jan Verwij, Quail Lodge & Golf Club - Vice President & Co-Marketing Director
Originally from The Netherlands, Jan studied hospitality in The Hague and Switzerland. He worked in London and for the past 10 years in Chicago for The Peninsula hotels. Jan worked at Quail during the re-opening of the Lodge in 2012 and 2013 and now returns to Carmel to join the team permanently as the Resort Manager. He is married to Katey who he met right before he was asked to join the team to re-open the Lodge in 2012. Besides work both Katey and Jan are active diners, we love to play board games, hiking and stay active in the community. Jan worked as a teacher at his alma mater, Chicago Campus and served on the Auxiliary board of the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago.
Annelise Brabeck Willford, The Quail and Olive
Annelise graduated college with a biology degree and went into Radiological studies where she worked as a registered radiologic technologist for 16 years. She attended Culinary Medicine program offered at Tulane Medical School and have now taken over the family business at the Quail and Olive. Her family is from the mid-west and moved to the East coast where she spent most of her childhood as well as attended college. Annelise was married to a military man and traveled with their children to various states. She has always shared her father’s belief of food is medicine and is so honored to carry out their shared vision with The Quail and Olive.
