Randi Andrews, Avant Garden & Home - President, Co-Shop Local Director
Randi and Jeffrey Andrews opened Avant Garden and Home in Carmel Valley Village in 2003. For several years we moved the shop into Carmel by-the-sea, only to return in 2014 to our old location. "Got a do-over" how many times does that happen?? While in Carmel Valley, both Randi and Jeffrey were active members on the CVCC Board. Randi is a past president. Jeffrey and Hudson (the famous canine) wear several hats... when not in Avant Garden, he can be found in his other business, Driving Sounds or at Cima Collina tasting Room.
Nick Elliott, Holman Ranch - Co-Marketing Director
Nick was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Monterey County in 2005 with his wife Hunter Lowder. He graduated from Philadelphia's Creative and Performing Arts School and did a summer program at the CIA in NY. Nick has worked in the hospitality industry for 15 years, including management positions with several entertainment companies both here in Monterey County and on the east coast. In 2006, his family purchased and refurbished the historic Holman Ranch where they plan to continue and preserve the rich history of Carmel Valley. Most recently Nick has been working with Paradise Catering, Carmel Valley's most established caterer and long time member of the Chamber as their Director of Operations. Since 2005 Nick has held a seat on MCCVB's membership committee and represented the committee on their board in 2006. Nick also volunteers for MCHA, MCCVB, the Junior League of Monterey County and the SPCA when he is not spending time with his wife and son Max.
Ron Haas, CVAC & Refuge - Co-Membership & Community Development Director
Ron has over 30+ years of experience in the hospitality industry spanning both the hotel (Sheraton, Hilton, Hyatt), private club (Desert Mountain, Lake Las Vegas, Santa Lucia Preserve) industries and now recently he has joined the Health & Fitness industry as the General Manager of Carmel Valley Athletic Club & Refuge. His last 24 years have been in management level positions. Ron’s foundational success has been in establishing relationships and in team building to focus on people, service, presentation and accountability. His unique and successful hands-on training has ensured consistency and high quality standards for spa & fitness, recreation & golf, lodging, food & beverage, maintenance, housekeeping, equestrian, youth programs and many other amenities. Ron’s outgoing personality and professional approach has been a welcome addition to CVAC & Refuge.
Fallon Hoffman, Holman Ranch - Co-Membership & Community Development Director Fallon studied at the University of Portland and Portland State University, Bachelor of Fine Arts. She has been in the Hospitality industry with experience to include Sales Management and Directorship positions with Starwood, Marriott, Riverhouse Hotel and Convention Center out of Bend, OR. In addition in the luxury auto industry as a Finance Manager and Sales Manager for Mercedes-Benz of Beaverton, Oregon and Lexus of Monterey. Fallon joined Holman Ranch in the winter of 2016 and is a Wedding and Event Sales Specialist. She loves her rescue dog named Blitz.
Nora Jones, Valley Hills Deli & BBQ - Co-Events Director
Currently Nora works at Valley Hills Deli & BBQ as the chef/operations manager. She opened the store for Fermin Sanchez the business owner whose family owns Bruno’s Market in Carmel. The Deli specializes in BBQ and deli sandwiches. They also offer catering, monthly wine tasting and quarterly events like the Cowboy BBQ, Summer Sausage Fest and Fall Pig Roast.
Prior to coming to Valley Hills Nora earned a diploma in Medical Administration from Cambridge College and a certificate from a medical lecture Series at UC Davis in regard to Advanced Aging Medical Science. She worked at Amen Clinic in Fairfield transferring medical records for the Neuro Science practice.
Ms. Jones spent many years working for Fairs and Festivals Catering, LLC as the lead supervisor for events and catering. Building field kitchens around Monterey and the Bay area to facilitate multiply cuisine offerings. Events included the San Francisco Blues Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival and the Celebration of the opening of the Academy of Science in San Francisco where she coordinated field operations that included three line cooks that supported eight food booths.
Nora has broad experience in marketing, PR and advertising where she spent the majority of her career. Most recently in 2007 she was the Retail Manager at the Monterey Herald. She also owned a PR firm from 2001-2007. Marketing and promoting many events around the Monterey Peninsula including the 2003Monterey County Fair, Monterey Museum of Art, and P.G. Auto Rally.
Jennifer Roux, ROUX - Co-Events Director Jennifer Roux is the owner of ROUX Restaurant in Carmel Valley with her husband Chef Fabrice Roux as her partner. She has 20 years of experience in education administration and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology as well as a Master’s of Science in Educational Leadership. Jennifer is passionate about hospitality and sharing how rich life can be lived through food and wine.Jennifer Roux is the owner of ROUX Restaurant in Carmel Valley with her husband Chef Fabrice Roux as her partner. The Holman Highway 68 Roundabout will relieve congestion at the busy intersection of Holman Highway 68, Highway 1 ramps and 17 Mile Drive near the entrance to Pebble Beach and the Community Hospital. This project is the result of a collaborative effort and a public-private partnership between the City of Monterey, Pebble Beach Company, Monterey Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District, County of Monterey, City of Pacific Grove, Caltrans and the Transportation Agency for Monterey County.
