On Friday, April 5, 2019, the Carmel Valley Women’s Club (CVWC) will host Timeless, their 70th Annual Fashion Show, from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm at the Hyatt Regency Monterey in Monterey, CA. $70 per person, $700 to reserve a table for 10 and $800 to reserve a runway table for 10. Reservations are required, no walk-ins. Reservations or cancellations must be received by 12:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2019. Menu includes: Pan seared natural chicken with fork smashed potatoes, broccolini and thyme jus -or- Seared sustainable salmon with toasted corn, edamame, cherry tomato, herb quinoa and citrus vinaigrette (vegetarian and vegan options are also available upon request), Lemon confit risotto with asparagus, peas and parmesan…and Lemon Meringue tart with shortbread crust, lemon curd and Italian meringue! The CVWC’s 70th Annual Fashion Show is being sponsored by Union Bank and Carmel Magazine will be on hand to photograph and review the show. Several local shops and boutiques have lent a hand to represent a look of “Timeless” charm, with styles selected to bring back the flavor of yesteryear with class, as fine haute couture can be. Contributing to the fun are: White House Black Market, Chjco, J. McLaughlin, Patrick James, Sylvie Unique Boutique and Déjà Vu Retro to Contemporary fashions. Top prizes include: a 7-day trip to Hawaii, a 3-day stay in New York City’s trendy upper west side and a private wine and dinner party for 8 catered in your home by master chef Jerome Viel. DJ Kevin of Kool Entertainment will set the musical ambience, Carmel’s own Doug Tobey will call the live auctions and MC Susan McFarland will handle the play-by-play. Other talents in the mix include costumes and accoutrements courtesy of Carmel’s Pac Rep Theater.
